Forwards (2023)
Amelia’s sophomore album is named Forwards, meaning the movement of moving forward as the journey continues, representing her transition from rural Nova Scotia to urban university life, and features tunes and sets she learned growing up as a memory of her roots.
The new album features a mixture of traditional and modern fiddle and vocal tunes, including Amelia’s original introduction for “Silver Temptation” she wrote at ten years old that’s become a staple in her home county. Accompaniment from Kimberly and Skip Holmes, Troy MacGillivray, Sandra DeCoste, Ray Stewart, and Dave Gunning.

“From just outside Pictou, the site of the first Scottish settlement in Nova Scotia, Amelia Parker has wowed audiences worldwide with her fiddling”
